Job Description – Quality Control Inspector (FTC 12 Months)

Role Summary

Reporting to the Quality Management and Food Safety Manager,

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all fresh produce entering and leaving the market meets established quality standards. This involves inspecting produce for freshness, appearance, size, and freedom from defects or contamination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, food technology, or related field.
  • Professional qualification in food technology an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in a quality control or food safety role is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of fresh produce quality standards and grading systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry and recordkeeping software.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
