The Procurement Officer is responsible for assessing products, services and suppliers and negotiating contracts. They are also responsible for ensuring that approved purchases are of a sufficient quality and are cost-efficient.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Professional qualification from CIPS procurement is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on fresh produce (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of fresh produce market dynamics, seasonality, and quality standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with procurement software (a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
